- Create identify and set up the cross-dock locations. These are the locations which will receive the virtual transfer resulting from the cross-dock process.
- Associate the cross-dock locations with the appropriate inventory receipt locations.
There should be one cross-dock location for each receiving location i.e. receiving for PO Receipts.
- Optional: Create zones for each cross-dock location. The KensiumWMS handheld can be set to only look for shipments with items in a specific zone. By setting up the cross-dock zones the Get Next function on the handheld will identify shipments and items to be picked from the cross-dock location.
